KrAZ armored glass has a multilayer structure and performs not only the function of inspection, but also is an element of ballistic protection. Over time or as a result of combat damage, the glass may lose transparency, crack or lose integrity, which requires its replacement.

The process of dismantling the old glass requires precision and a special tool to preserve the frame. After dismantling, the landing area is cleaned, glue is applied and new glass is installed that meets the STANAG protection standard. All joints are treated with sealant for complete water and dust tightness.

After installation, a check is performed for tightness, the absence of distortions, as well as a water-tightness test by pressurized water spraying. Thanks to proper installation, the crew maintains visibility and safety even in a combat zone.
